Camp Ramapo serves more than 500 children with special needs every summer, aged 6 -16 years on a beautiful Rhinebeck campus. Ramapo provides an opportunity for children with a wide range of needs from nonverbal elementary-age children to teens needing help building essential conflict resolution skills to experience success.

Finance and Benefits

- Earn up to SIX COLLEGE CREDITS through an on-site course “Fieldwork in Special Education”.

- Free room and board on 250 acre campus in Rhinebeck, New York.

- Three meals per day.

- Travel cost reimbursement (all staff will receive a mileage-based travel allowance, up to a maximum of $ 300).

- Ramapo will provide shuttle service from JFK and LGA airports on scheduled arrival days. Transportation will be available from the nearest train station (Amtrak - Rhinecliff) and the bus station (Shortline - Rhinebeck).

- Laundry service and a stipend.

- Develop the skills you need to succeed with a range of children.

- Demonstrate a high ability to meet the needs of children and teach them new skills.

Duration

Staff make a 9 weeks commitment from 15 June to 15 August. Some positions require additional training prior to mid-June. 

A limited number of short-term, 5 weeks positions are available from late July to late August.

Requirements

- Be a resident in USA.

- Have a good command in English.

How does the application process work?

After sending your application, the hiring team will review it and contact you via email within 1-2 weeks of your submission. If you’ve been selected for an interview, your interviewer will set up a time for a phone call, a Skype call or an in-person meeting if you are within close proximity. 

The interviewer will share the information with the hiring team and you will receive a response within one week of the weekly recruitment team meeting.
