Villa Arson is launching a call for applications for audience engagement internships for its contemporary art exhibitions taking place next summer for 2 months. Villa Arson will cover your Accommodation.
Description
Villa Arson is a public institution of the French ministry of Culture also is a French art museum, elite school and research institution for contemporary art located in Nice, France on an exceptional location overlooking the Bay of Angels.
Three exhibitions will take place during internship :
Otobong Nkanga. Curator: Eric Mangion
Julie Béna. Curator: Marie de Brugerolle
Camille Lapouge. Curator: Eric Mangion
Your tasks
- welcome visitors and engage with audiences.
- participate in all educational and cultural activities related to the exhibitions program.
- conduct research on the artists and their work.
- Visualize and conduct guided tours of the exhibitions..
Skills development
- Engage in conversations with audiences from various backgrounds.
- Create and adapt a discourse on the exhibitions.
- Articulate many reference fields.
- Conduct collaborative research in a multidisciplinary team
- Innovate and develop new audience engagement proposals for the exhibitions.
Finance and Benefits
- Free of charge in a single room at Villa Arson.
- Internship fee ( According to French law 3,90€/hour.)
Requirements
Duration and Schedule
8 weeks minimum, from 7/6/2021 to 19/9/2021 (subject to the reopening of the exhibitions to the public).
Schedule: 35 hours maximum per week for all period of internship.
