The Vienna BioCenter Summer School is a 10-week research program for Life Science undergrads. It considered a wonderful opportunity for approximately 25-30 students to work side by side with talented and leading researchers in a dynamic scientific environment.Applicants who are selected are provided with Travel Expenses, accommodation and a stipend for the duration of the internship.
About Programme
This programme available for all International students around the world who are Bachelor or Master students. Vienna BioCenter Summer School aims to attract talented and high skilled students from all the world.The school is a collaboration between five of Europe's leading research institutes so it is a perfect preparation for those students who are interested in graduate study in Life Sciences.
In addition to research project it will be lecture series weekly and Scientific Symposium at the end of programme. Prizes are awarded to the students that give the best presentations.

Eligibility
- Completed at least 2 years of a University study (e.g. 2-3 years of a Bachelor Hons study or 1 year of a Master study - by 30 June).
- Three months research experience - Covid update, we understand that some students may not have been able to train/get enough research experience due to the pandemic and we will therefore accept applications that have gained training as part of their studies. Please explain this in your application.
- Good academic record.
- High level of English language, A formal proof of proficiency in English (IELTS, CPE or TOEFL) is recommended but not mandatory.
- Evidence of enrolment in a University programme for the current academic year and the next year (if possible).
- MDs may only apply if they have completed 3-4years of their studies and have the relevant research experience, they must also intend to study a PhD in a Life Science related subject after completion of their current studies.
Attention please: All uploaded documents that are not in English or German should have a translation attached. The translation can be done by the applicant.
Required Documents
- Your enrolment certificate and transcript of studies or exam results for the last years of your course.
- A proof of enrolment for the next academic year. If this is not possible, you should upload a personal statement with the programmes that you will apply for.
- A CV or cover letter are not required.
