A great opportunity to participate in the largest football event in the world, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The Organising Committee will host 20,000 volunteers to help it organise various events related to the organisation of the tournament at airports, hotels and stadiums. It is a great opportunity to meet friends from all over the world and enjoy the exciting atmosphere of the World Cup. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will take place from 21 November to 18 December, but some volunteer roles will start from 1 October.
About the Volunteer Programme
The International Football Association Board (FIFA) announced the opening of applications for participation in the Volunteer Program for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, during a special ceremony at the outdoor theatre in Katara Cultural Village in Doha. 20,000 volunteers will participate in the Qatar World Cup 2022, who will work in 45 operational sides in the official and unofficial sites of the tournament, such as stadiums, training centres, airports, fan areas, hotels and public transportation centres.
An entire team of volunteers working behind the scenes behind every ticket, every TV spot, every match and every goal, are an integral part of the overall process that will allow us to enjoy the fun and friendly atmosphere of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, and will provide tremendous support in implementing Operations during the most prominent sporting event, so that volunteers once again contribute to drawing lasting memories in the minds of fans, players, the media, the State of Qatar and the world at large, and they also retain these unique memories during the event.
Where will Volunteer be located?
Volunteers will support pre-tournament and across the tournament, events, and activities:
- Across 45 Functional Areas.
- Over 30 different roles.
- 8 Stadiums.
- Training Sites.
- More than 25 other sites, like airport, fan zones, FIFA Fan Fest and hotels.
- Fan services, welcome services at the airport, metro, ports, and wayfinding
- Fan zones
- Training sites for players and referees
Eligibility
- All countries are eligible to apply.
- candidates from all backgrounds and different parts of the world are welcome to apply.
- Your age must be at least 18 years old on 1 October 2022.
- Have a good Communication Skills in English.
- Knowing Arabic language is an advantage.
- No previous experience is needed.
- All volunteers must have received their full doses of COVID-19 with an approved vaccine
Finance and Benefits
- Volunteers are responsible for organising and financing their flights to Qatar and for their accommodation during the tournament.
- FIFA will facilitate the travel documentation and visa process for international volunteers, If you need visa to enter Qatar.
- you will get one meal for each eight-hour shift. You’ll receive two meals if your shift is longer than eight hours.
- You will receive a Qatar Rail travel card to use public transportation in Qatar for free.
- Selected volunteers will receive a limited-edition Adidas uniform.
- You’ll have at least one day off every seven days.
- You will be able to upload a certificate of appreciation through the volunteer profile, when you have completed the minimum shifts.

3. Interview
Applicants who successfully complete the online gamified assessment will be invited for an interview. Applicants who successfully pass the interview process and who can fulfill the shift availability requirements will be considered for a FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Volunteer role.
