Training course "RURAL ROCKS" For one week in Croatia ( Fully Funded)

An excellent opportunity for trainees and young workers to attend a training session to discuss the problems of people living in rural areas and to improve the attitudes of young workers. 27 participants from 10 different countries will participate in this course in Osijek, Croatia. This TC will organised by Kreaktiva Association  with co-funded from Erasmus+ Programme.

About OSIJEK

Osijek is the fourth-largest city in Croatia and the largest city and the economic and the cultural center of the eastern Croatian region of Slavonia, as well as the administrative center of Osijek-Baranja County with a current population of around 100,000 inhabitants. Refined architecture typifies the main streets of its Upper Town while the former Tvrđa fortress now houses bars, restaurants and a regional museum. There are many things to do in town like visit River Drava and bridges, Quality desserts and Museum of Slavonia. 

About the Training course

This  training course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of youth workers working with the main target group: young people in rural and suburban areasstruggling with social exclusion, poverty, unemployment and so, develop in them anew spirit for challenges and initiatives.

Objectives

- Analyzing the problems of people living in rural areas and exploring the possibility of their development.

- Improve youth workers attitudes by providing them with methods, tools and motivation techniques, which will enable them to work efficiently with the target groups in the rural areas.

- Support youth work in rural areas, to improve its quality.

- Reflect on sustainable work and rural entrepreneurship possibilities exploiting rural resources.

Finance and Benefits

- There is no Application or participation fee.

- Your Travel Expenses will be reimbursed as soon as possible to your Bank account with Euro currency as follows:

Croatia - 0 Euro

Hungary - 20 Euro

Italy, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey, Spain - 275 Euro

Portugal - 360 Euro

- The accommodation and food will be covered fully by Erasmus+ programme.

- Participants will be hosted in accommodation Hotel Silver in OSIJEK, CROATIA

- Participants will share rooms of 2-4 beds ( some with separate showers and bathroom)

- Free WiFi will be available.

- If you have a mobile data plan from another EU country mobile operator, you can use it in Croatia without additional roaming charges.

- About COVID safety, Before boarding the plane/bus/train you will have to present either:

• EU Digital COVID certificate.

• Negative RT-PCR test result taken less than 72h before boarding, or Rapid Antigen Test taken less than 48h before boarding (cheaper, ready in 20 minutes)

Important Notes

- When you look for travel connection, please choose Budapest or Zagreb as a destination.

- Travelling from there to the training location will cost you about 30 - 50 € in one direction.

- Try to book all your tickets online before April 28th.

- Before you get the tickets, you must have approval from Kreaktiva by Email.

- Only public transportation will be reimbursed, private transportation e.g. taxi at your own expense. 

Eligibility

- You are a resident in one of these countries (Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Turkey, Poland and Spain).

- Aged over 18 years old.

- You are a Teacher, Social Worker, Educator, Scout leader, Youth Organisation Peer- Leaders, scout leader, etc.

- You are working with young people (not children) in schools or in non-formal education system (as volunteers or paid workers) on regular basis.

- Ready to organise at least 2 follow-up activity using the experience from this training within 2 months after the training.

- Ready to prepare 1 post for publicity to share results from the training and applying EI in their daily youth work.

- Committed to learning and working together for quite long hours every day and being outdoors.

- Have a good skills of communication in English.

What to Bring?

- A valid ID Card or Valid Passport.

- Bring your European health Card in your wallet, but Travel insurance will be recommended by host organisation.

- Bring your tickets, boarding passes, invoices and receipts to get your reimbursement.

Timeline

Deadline: Application deadline is Thursday, April 21st , 2022

Selection: Date of Selection until 25th of April 2022

Preparation: Doing homeworks between April and June

Arrival: Arrival day is Sunday, 19th of June 2022

Departure: Monday, 27th of June 2022
