Excellent opportunity to attend a short-term volunteer project within the European Solidarity Corps program in Germany. This program will host 30 international volunteers in addition to dozens of volunteers from Germany and organised by The European Youth Educational Center Magdeburg in Germany.
About the Project
Magdeburg European Youth Education Centre is looking for 30 volunteers from different countries to participate in the organisation of the "European Children's City" project that will allow children aged 8-14 to play fully learn about city life and must deal with democratic voting processes and topics such as social coexistence Work, wages, self-determination and participation in self-determination. In the park area behind EJBM, only children are in charge! The only adults are the moderators (maybe you?) who will support the children in their play and help them implement their ideas.
About Host Organisation
The European Youth Educational Center Magdeburg is located in the "Villa Böckelmann", a multi-generational house in the city of Magdeburg. For many years they are hosting international projects on a regular basis such as youth exchanges, training courses and voluntary services.
Finance and Benefits
- Travel Expenses will be reimbursed for your travels up to a fixed amount depending on the travel distance between your home town and Magdeburg.
- Free Accommodation in shared bedrooms (3-4 individuals per room)
- You have access to a private shower at EJBM
- You will get a pocket money with 5 euro/day
- Food and the possibility to cook will be provided
- You will have plenty opportunity to learn more about ESC volunteering, life in Germany

- Outgoing and willing to enjoy the summertime in Germany with people from all around Europe
- You are interested in learning German/speak German a little
- You speak English at least on a Conversational level
- Be willing to work 5 days per week, sometimes even on weekends
- Interested in Working with Children
