About the Project
2022 marks the European Year of Youth, and the city of Timisoara prepares itself for embracing the title of European Capital of Culture in 2023. So Timis County Youth Foundation invite you to feel the heartbeat of the city through an exciting international youth summer festival in which volunteers organise and promote education artistic, cultural, sports and leisure time events and activities for other young people in Timisoara. For that Timis County Youth Foundation will host 140 Volunteers from 15 July to 8 August for team building, creating the events calendar for August, making the promotional materials, promo days, events preparation. Also will host more than 60 Volunteers from 8-27 August these volunteers are artists/trainers and will be able to facilitate events by themselves.
About Timisoara
Timisoara is is the capital city of Timiș County and the main economic, social and cultural centre in western Romania. Located on the Bega River. Everybody feels it,those who were born and live here and those who come here and then decide to stay. In 2023, Timisoara will be the European Capital of Culture. Timisoara has got many things to offer, such as:

- The travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ distance band as follows:
Travel distance (10 - 99) km , Max. Budget 23 EUR
Travel distance (100 - 499) km , Max. Budget 180 EUR , For Green travel 210 EUR
Travel distance (500 - 1999)km , Max. Budget 275 EUR , For Green travel 320 EUR
Travel distance (2000 - 2999)km , Max. Budget 360 EUR , For Green travel 410 EUR
Travel distance (3000 - 3999)km , Max. Budget 530 EUR , For Green travel 610 EUR
Travel distance (4000 - 7999) km , Max. Budget 820 EUR
Travel distance (8000 or more ) km , Max. Budget 820 EUR
- Host organisation doesn't cover Costs of Visa
- you will be accommodated in one of the student dorms of Timisoara
- There will be shared bedrooms, shared kitchen and bathroom
- you will Receive 5 EUR/ day as food allowance and 3 EUR / day as a pocket money ( This money is enough for life in Romania , Romania isn't Expensive )
Eligibility
- You are a resident in one of these Countries ( Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Spain, Finland, France, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Estonia, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Egypt, Iceland, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Moldova , Norway, Serbia
- You are between the ages of 18 and 30
- are enthusiastic for events planning and promoting
- You speak English at a conversational level
- You are interested to participate in, organise (and, if you can, facilitate) non-formal activities
What to Bring?
- ID - Passport or any other document you use for travel.
- Towels, flip flops, swimsuit, hygiene products, and a hairdryer if you need one.
- Medicine if you have any specific illness or medical condition.
- Good vibes and energy.
- Stuff for the intercultural night
