About Turkiye Scholarships
Turkish Scholarships is an international higher education scholarship program funded by the Turkish government and administered by the Republic of Turkey for international students. The primary objective of the Turkish Scholarship Program is to provide equal opportunities for successful and distinguished students from all over the world to complete their education at a Turkish university.
Higher Education in Turkey
Turkish universities offer Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, Graduate and Post-graduate programs.There are more than 200 universities in Turkey, and most of these universities were established in the past few decades. In 1970, there were only 8 public universities. Public and private universities in Turkey are in line with the Bologna Agreement, which standardizes degree programs across Europe. Many Turkish universities participate in Erasmus+ program, which supports international student exchanges other universities in Europe. Turkey’s higher education system was ranked 43rd in the world according to the last edition of QS Higher Education System.Turkish universities allow studies in Turkish, English, Arabic and some other languages such as German and French. the top universities in turkey are Middle East Technical university, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, Koç University, Bilkent University, Sabanci University, Hacettepe University, Istanbul Technical University and Istanbul University.
Finance and Benefits
- Accepted students will get paid travel tickets from their residence country to Turkey and from turkey to his/her country after final of the study.
- All tuition fees will be covered.
- Free accommodation in student dormitories for all accepted students.
- The scholarship allows you to take full advantage of widespread health services when necessary with health insurance.
- The student who receives the scholarship gets a full year to study the Turkish language without any fees.
Note: Even students who are accepted to study in a language other than Turkish must take one year to learn Turkish.
- Monthly Stipend depends on your Educational level as follows:-
- 1000 Turkish lira at undergraduate level.
- 1400 Turkish lira at Master's level.
- 1800 Turkish lira at PhD level.
Eligibility
- Citizens of all countries are eligible to apply.
- Graduates or those who will graduate at the end of the current academic year (before August 2023) can apply.
- Age Criteria
- being under the age of 21 for undergraduate programs
- being under the age of 30 for Master's programs
- being under the age of 35 for PhD programs
- being under the age of 45 for Research scholarships
- If you have studied in Turkey before, you will not be able to apply for this scholarship.
- The high school average for applying to Turkish university must be at least 70% of the marks but Minimum academic achievement for applicants in health sciences (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy)is 90%.
- You must have successfully passed a high school diploma in all subjects.
- The university average for applying for master’s and doctoral degrees must be at least 75% of the marks.
- All documents and supporting documents for the scholarship application must be submitted before the application deadline.

- A colour copy of your passport, valid for at least 6 months or your national ID Card.
- A photograph of the candidate taken within the last 1 year.
- Middle School Certificate. (optional)
- High school diploma.
- University Graduation Document (For master students).
- A certificate of success in a master’s degree (For PhD students).
- The Transcript of Records.
- Your CV.
- Motivation letter.
- Two Recommendation letters.
- TOEFL or IELTS certificate if you want to study in English.
- Some Turkish universities ask SAT, GRE, GMAT and YDS to apply.
- All documents must be translated to Turkish or English.
- Research proposal or doctoral dissertation abbreviation.
- Work experience certificates or any certificates and awards you have previously obtained (optional).
