An exciting opportunity for 15 young people from all over Europe to join two-week ESC volunteering "Can We Change? 4.0" in Siderno, Italy. The project is organised by "A.S.D. Basket YMCA Siderno" and funded by the European Solidarity Corps Programme of the European Union.
About the Volunteering
This project seeks to create an immersive experience in Siderno, a Calabrian city, by celebrating its traditions, customs, flavours, and honoured festivities. The main aim is to positively influence the community and promote European citizenship, a concept not yet well-known among the youth. Volunteers will bring their diverse skills, experiences, and viewpoints to support sustainable activities that meet community needs. They will also enjoy traditional folk music, dance workshops, tours of charming villages, and hands-on cooking classes with local recipes. This cultural exchange is intended to break down stereotypes through open dialogue, enhance the sense of European unity, and explore the rich traditions of a region brimming with hidden treasures.
YMCA Siderno will provide a short introductory training on how to move yourself around and be safe in the city.
