Open call for 15 participants from EU countries to join IMORA community in the countryside of Spain for 16 days. Participants will enjoy with different activities and experience the living in a small community of small scale farming and natural living in the countryside of Spain. This project is organised by IMORA Association and funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union.
About the volunteering
IMORA association is inviting 15 participants from EU countries who are interested in permaculture, simple low standard and sustainable lifestyle, environment and its preservation to join its short-term volunteering "RITMO NATURAL TEAM II-2024" for 16 days + 2 travel days.
Project activities encompass: - Permaculture theory - Organic garden and food forest upkeep following permaculture guidelines - Homemade food crafting - Farm animal care - Recycling initiatives - Construction projects adhering to bio-construction standards - Additional environmental endeavours.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Young people aged between 18-30 years old and living in one of the following countries (Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Ukraine);
- Willing to carry out and implement different activities in the rural environment;
- self-sufficient individuals with initiative, regardless of experience, gender, or socio-economic status, who are eager to learn.
- Volunteers must have a passion for nature and a keen interest in developing a sustainable rural environment.
- They should be capable of living in a community and adapting to low-standard conditions.
- Able to stay the whole duration of the project.
Expenses and Benefits
- IMORA will accommodate the volunteers in a hostel with shared rooms, each equipped with its own bathroom and shower. The hostel is fully furnished and includes all necessary items for a comfortable stay, such as kitchen utensils, towels, and blankets.
- Food and transportation required for the activities will also be provided by the host organisation. Volunteers will be responsible for cooking.
- Local transport is not needed for the project, as all activities take place on-site. There are no cities or supermarkets nearby. Internet connection and WiFi access are available in the main building.
- Each participant is entitled to receive receive 6 EUR per day as a pocket money.
- Participants from EU countries should get the European Health Insurance Card, for non-EU residents, they will receive HENNER insurance
- Your international travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the distance between your home and Spain according to the following limits:
- for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person, +30 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person, +45 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person, +50 EUR extra for Green travel.

- Participants are entitled to receive a YouthPass certificate after the project where you are expected to self-assess your own learning and you can add it to your CV.
