About WIPO Young Experts Program

The WIPO Young Experts Program (YEP) is designed to enhance the skills and broaden the capabilities of the next generation of global Intellectual Property (IP) leaders, contributing to the development of innovation ecosystems worldwide. This competitive 2-year program involves 10 young professionals who will gain hands-on experience with WIPO's initiatives. Participants will be exposed to both the technical and strategic dimensions of IP, equipping them with skills and knowledge to foster economic growth in their home countries and regions.

The program offers a unique career development opportunity and serves as a lifelong leadership program. However, YEP is not a recruitment pathway into WIPO. Instead, it aims to nurture IP leaders who can make an impact globally. Consequently, participants are not permitted to apply for WIPO jobs during their time in the program and for two years after completing the program.
