An exciting opportunity for youth leaders and youth workers to join the training course "PUPPETRYLY", a week-long proposal focused on the art of puppetry and the using of puppetry for social meditation. This training course is organised by La Rapugada and co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
About the training course
Puppetryly is an Erasmus+ training course dedicated to the art of puppetry. Its goal is to identify the mediation challenges that puppetry can address and to practice the tools it offers for this purpose. Additionally, it provides an opportunity to explore how this art form can foster more serene and socially cohesive interactions.
The program is set to take place from October 14 to 25, 2024, and will be divided into three phases:
- Appreciation: Participants will watch the show *Aubry* by Cie des MarMalins, followed by critique and analysis to establish an initial connection with the theme for the week.
- Creation: Participants will craft their own puppets.
- Performance: Participants will animate and perform with their puppets.
Puppetry allows us to express ourselves on whimsical and dreamlike subjects, as well as on more sensitive and challenging topics. The puppet acts as a medium that helps us distance ourselves from communication barriers, enabling us to navigate and understand these often delicate exchanges. Playing with puppets remains in the realm of fantasy: we activate our desires and control them, but they have no real-world consequences.
