France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded)

About the Scholarship

France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship is offering a premium scholarship which facilitates the training of future international decision-makers from both private and public sectors in key areas of study, while encouraging applications from foreign students under 27 for master's programs and under 32 for doctoral programs.

The 2025 applications session for the Excellence Eiffel scholarships program is related with 7 fields of study.

Higher education institutions open application files based on the academic excellence of the foreign students they wish to admit into their programs.


Duration of the Eiffel scholarship

The France Excellence Eiffel scholarship is awarded for the academic year corresponding to the application call, with no possibility of postponement. The stay must begin between September 1 and November 30 of the awarded year. If a student needs to repeat a year, the scholarship will be stopped, but they can use a gap year at their own expense and potentially regain the scholarship if successful. The scholarship only covers time spent in France, except for certain internships or exchanges.

For the Master level, the Eiffel scholarship is granted for the duration necessary to complete the accepted program, with a maximum of 12 months for Master 2, 24 months for Master 1, and 36 months for engineering studies. The scholarship ends when the degree is completed. If language training is required, the scholarship can cover up to one month of this, starting in August 2024. The training must be mentioned in the application, as retroactive requests are not allowed, and the costs are not covered.

For the PhD level, he Eiffel scholarship is awarded for a maximum of 12, 18, or 36 months starting from September 1 of the award year, as per the scholarship letter. The 36-month scholarship is only for new PhD students and doesn't require a joint agreement. For scholarships of 12 or 18 months, the stay can be split into multiple periods, with each stay lasting at least 6 months but not exceeding 3 years in total, including time spent outside France.


Eligibility | Who can apply?

Application are open for all the nationalities who met the following requirements:

- Having an admission to a higher education institution in France.

- Maximum age is  27 for Master's applicants.

- Maximum age is  32 for PhD applicants.

- Master's applicants must not be French nationals or a permanent residents of France.

- PhD applicants residing in France are eligible, but priority is given to those residing outside France.


Financial conditions

- The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship is offering a monthly living allowance of EUR 1,181 for Master's level and a monthly allowance of EUR 1,800 for the Doctorate level.

Eiffel scholarship recipients are exempt from registration fees for national diplomas or engineering degrees at public higher education institutions. However, the program does not cover other registration fees or training costs.

The outward journey is reimbursed in the most economical class, with the scholarship holder eligible for a refund of up to 50% of the parametric rate set by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs upon providing proof of the ticket purchase.

Campus France informs scholarship holders of the possibility of being offered an accommodation solution in CROUS residences or in private residences . They are free not to accept the offer from Campus France and to find accommodation on their own and at their own expense.

Eiffel scholarship recipients will have temporary social protection through Campus France until their affiliation with French Social Security is finalized, which is mandatory and free for all students enrolled in higher education institutions in France.

- Campus France offers weekend outings that will allow you, for a day or two, to relax, meet other scholarship holders, and discover a city, a French region or a European capital.

Opening of the call for applications: October 1, 2024

Deadline for institutions to submit application files to Campus France: January 8, 2025 inclusive

Announcement of results: the winners and the establishments will be informed of the results by email the 1st week of April 2025
