An exciting opportunity for young people from all ESC Program countries to apply for nine months ESC volunteering project "Think Future 5 - Learning By Doing" in the south of France. Catfarm, a multicultural eco-place in the south of France is opening applications for 6 volunteers in between the 4th of March to the 16th of December 2025 to join its team and start unforgettable experience. This project is focus on topics such as environment and natural protection, education and training, and creativity and cultural. The project is organised by CATFARM Education and funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme.
About the Volunteering
Catfarm is organising a 9 months volunteering project in Poussan, in the south of France and looking forward to attracting driven beings which want to strive for a sustainable future ! Volunteers can take roles in 5 circles in the community :
- The Garden Circle, where Catfarm wishs to manifest in the reality its permaculture design ;
- The Building Circle, where Catfarm experiments on natural buildings and showcase alternative ways of energy and resources consumption ;
- The Art circle, where cultural practices and art projects birth ;
- The Balance circle, where Catfarm upholds the community standards, policies and well-being ; - The Vision circle, where Catfarm manages future projects, we develop our strategies and maintain our social media.
By joining this project and being an active memeber, you will gain the valuable competencies which can boost your career: Project management and group facilitation, Collective governance system, Conflict resolution tools, and Non-violent communication basics and more depending of the roles undertaken in the association.
Additionally, you will have the chance to learn a lot of language more often French language, Cultural awareness and expression competences (you will practice group activities such as sharing circles, in order to self-express and understand each other)
Eligibility | Who can apply?
Volunteers should be aged between 18-30 years of age and being a citizen or a resident in one of the EU Programme countries and Partner countries neighbouring the EU, check the list HERE
- Applicants must have a good command of English with minimum level B2, since it is the main language during the project.

Expenses and Benefits
- Your basic costs will be covered (your travel to and from the project, and the accommodation place in Poussan, France).
- The volunteer will sleep in a double room or caravan, also you will have access to two kitchens, a dry toilet, a bathroom, a terrace and common areas.
- Volunteers are covered by a complementary insurance.
- Volunteers can access a range of support services such as linguistic support and training.
- You’ll also receive a monthly allowance for personal expenses and food according to the ESC volunteering funding.
- The collective diet is Vegan, but you are free to buy your own complementary food if needed.
- Catfarm has 4 bikes and a community car, as well as there is a bus stops 5 minutes away from the volunteering venue. The participant can join Montpellier in 40 minutes, or Sète in 15 minutes.
- Volunteers are entitled to receive a youthpass certificate for their participation in the ESC Volunteering project.
