Pact for Impact I: Communication & Action Training course in Finland (Fully Funded)

An open call for young people from around Europe to attend the training course "Pact for Impact I: Communication & Action" which aims to strengthen the engagement of young people in democratic life and their competences leading to successful communication. The training will be at Educational Center Oivanki, in Kuusamo, Finland from 10-15 February 2025. The training is organised by International Young Naturefriends and funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission.

About the Training

IYNF is launching the first training course of the 2025 cycle, titled "Pact for Impact I: Communication & Action." This program will focus on enhancing your communication and action skills, setting the stage for a year-long journey of personal and professional growth.

What to Expect:

Explore Volunteering and Youth Engagement: Delve into the core of what motivates individuals to volunteer and discover ways to inspire others to take action.

Master Effective Communication Techniques: Learn strategies to combat prejudice, fight discrimination, and address misinformation effectively.

Develop Action Plans and Build Strong Arguments: Create impactful strategies and sharpen your skills in forming persuasive arguments on important issues.

This training serves as the starting point for a year-long mission focused on soft skills development. Participants will collaborate to create a set of argumentation cards—practical tools designed to help you confidently engage in debates and discussions on key topics. It’s an excellent opportunity to enhance your leadership skills and make a tangible impact.


Eligibility | Who can apply?

Motivated young people, youth leaders, and youth workers aged 16 to 30, involved in Youth organisations, Civil society initiatives or Political activism.

Limited spots are available for participants over 30 years old.

A good level of English is required to actively participate and follow the training.

- Participants should be a resident in one of the following countries (Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Slovak Republic, Spain, Türkiye, United Kingdom)


Expenses and Benefits

There is a participation fee of 50€ for members and 75€-100€ for non-members (please contact the organisers if you have economic constraints),

- Food (vegetarian) and accommodation is provided by the host organisation. 

- Travel costs will be reimbursed and to be eligible for reimbursement you must attend 100% of the training course!!

- Maximum reimbursement will be depends on the direct distance from your place to the project venue according to the following limits:

  • from 100 –499 km: 285€ for green travel otherwise 211€ 
  • from 500 – 1999 km: 417€ for green travel otherwise 309€ 
  • from 2000 – 2999 km: 535€ for green travel otherwise 395€  
  • from 3000 – 3999 km: 785 € for green travel otherwise 580€ 

Logistics Details

The training will be held at the Educational Center Oivanki in Kuusamo, Finland, where temperatures can drop to –20°C ( be prepared for that).

Due to the remote location, the journey may take 2-3 days, depending on your starting point. Plan to depart on 8th February to arrive at the venue on 10th February. After the training ends on 15th February, you will likely arrive back home by 17th February.

Important: One of IYNF's aims is to minimise the environmental impact of travel. Therefore, participants are required to use sustainable transportation options like trains, buses, and other eco-friendly methods. Please consider the additional travel days this may require when applying. Air travel will only be permitted from remote locations where no sustainable options are available, and it must be approved by IYNF.
