An open call for 24 youth workers and trainers from Erasmus+ youth program countries to join the training course "Building resilience" which focus on developing personal resilience and fostering resilience in youth. This project will take place in the peaceful mountain village of Fužine, Croatia, from 9th to 16th March 2025. The project is organised by Amazonas Association and co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+ program.
About the host organisation
Amazonas Association was registered in Zagreb in 2004. The vision is to create an open, playful and solidary society. Their values are inclusiveness, optimism and change. The main activities of the organisation activities are based on the implementation of programs and projects aimed at educating, empowering and increasing the quality of life of children, youth and adults in the local community.
The association has three main areas of work:
1. Social support - empowering of children, youngsters and families at risk of social exclusion
2. Active and mobile youth - non formal learning of young people, for young people, including mobility projects
3. Educations of experts - training courses as well as development of the education materials for experts in the field of youth and social support.
About TC "Building Resilience"
Building Resilience training course focuses on helping individuals adapt and thrive during adversity by leveraging personal strengths, social connections, and supportive environments. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical, body-centered techniques to enhance emotional regulation, stress management, and resilience development. Key components include:
1. Developing Personal Resilience: Strengthening mental and physical coping abilities.
2. Fostering Resilience in Youth: Empowering youth workers to create environments that support young people’s emotional well-being and growth.
The course emphasises the importance of relationships and equips participants with tools to promote adaptive coping, personal growth, and positive, resilient communities through experiential learning and self-reflection.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- 24 participants of youth workers, teachers, youth group leaders, trainers, educators that want to develop/improve their skill of using body related techniques to improve emotional well-being of youth.
- Participants must be over 18 years old with no upper age limit.
- Participants must be a resident in one of the Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye.
- Having a good command of English for effective communication during the project.
- Selection will be made based on your experience in youth work field , your motivation for the topic of the course and the amount of results sustainability (how will you use project results in your daily work).
Important: Participants must have a sending organisation/associations from programme countries and countries associated to the programme, that posses OID number within Organisation registration system.
Expenses and Benefits
- There is no any participation fee for participation in this program
- Participants and activities will be hosted at Fužinarksa kuća, in the beautiful ambiance of idyllic Fužine.
- Fužinarska kuća is an ideal place for hosting workshops, playrooms, seminars, courses, and conferences.
- Participants will be accommodated in double and triple rooms.
- Cost of food (3 meals per day plus coffee breaks) and accommodation are covered by the project.
- All participants must be covered either by the European Health Card; either by a travel insurance. (Information to be checked with the sending organisation)
- Travel costs will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance calculator, depending on your place of origin (in the country of your sending organisation).
- from 10 – 99 km is 28 EUR (standard travel), 56 EUR (Green travel)
- 100 – 499 km is 211 EUR (standard travel), 285 EUR (Green travel)
- 500 – 1999 km is 309 EUR (standard travel), 417 EUR (Green travel)
- 2000 – 2999 km is 395 EUR (standard travel), 535 EUR (Green travel)
- 3000 – 3999 km is 580 EUR (standard travel), 785 EUR (Green travel)
- 4000 – 7999 km is 1188 EUR (standard travel), 1188 EUR (Green travel)
