An excellent opportunity for motivated young people aged between 18-35 from all over the world to apply for "The 2025 World Bank Youth Summit Pitch competition" which will take place in Washington, D.C, USA from 19-20 May 2025. Applications are open and you can submit your application individually or in team or 2-5 people. The World Bank Group will cover the expenses related to your participation in the summit.
About World Bank Youth Summit 2025
The World Bank Group Youth Summit is one of the largest annual gathering for young leaders, bringing together participants from across the world to address pressing development challenges. The 2025 summit, themed "New Horizons: Youth-Led Innovation for a Sustainable and Equitable World," focuses on three pillars:
- Data-Driven Transformation,
- Climate Action & Resilience, and
- Empowering Change through Creative Industries
The summit features interactive activities, including the flagship Pitch Competition, panel discussions with global experts, capacity-building workshops, and networking opportunities. Its goals are to empower youth to create innovative solutions, equip participants with tools to implement impactful projects, and foster dialogue between youth, the World Bank Group, and key global stakeholders.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Young people aged between 18-35 as of 26 January 2025;
- Applicants must come from one of the World Bank Group member countries, check list from HERE
- Your solution must address at least one of the three thematic pillars:
- Data-Driven Transformation
- Climate Action & Resilience
- Empowering Change through Creative Industries
- Cross-thematic solutions spanning multiple pillars are also encouraged.
- Applications can be submitted in Arabic, English, French, or Spanish. For the pitch, the selected finalists will likely present in English, as this is the primary language used at the summit.
Expenses and Benefits
- The World Bank Group will cover travel costs for one representative per team to attend the summit in Washington, D.C. This includes flights and local transportation.
- Lodging for up to three nights will be provided for the representative attending the summit.
- A small stipend will be given to help cover meals and other minor expenses during the summit.
- Participants are responsible for obtaining a valid U.S. visa to attend the summit. Visa application fees and related expenses are not covered by the organizers.
- Travel, accommodation, and other costs for additional team members are not covered, but they can participate virtually.
- Costs related to preparing your pitch (e.g., creating a proposal or deck) are not reimbursed.

Evaluation and Shortlisting: Shortlisted teams will be informed by early April 2025.
Pitching at the Summit: 19-20 May, 2025.
How to apply?
To apply for the 2025 World Bank Group Youth Summit Pitch Competition, follow these steps:

2. Prepare Your Application:
- Pitch Deck: Prepare a pitch deck using the provided template (you can download it from the application page). Your pitch deck should include:

- Your proposed solution
- Impact and scalability of your idea
- Implementation plan
- Proposal: Provide detailed information about your project addressing one or more of the thematic pillars:
