Open call for 16 volunteers from different European Countries to join the Intercultural Summer ESC volunteering project "Dare to ACT" which will take place in Krakow, Poland for three weeks during July 2025. This project is organised by " IB Polska Foundation" and funded by the European Solidarity Corps Programme of the European Union.
About the volunteering project
IB Polska is organising a short term volunteering project in Krakow, Poland during July 2025. The team of volunteers will consists of 16 volunteers from different European Countries with the aim of organising intercultural activities mostly for children and adults. Volunteers will be responsible for creating an activity plan, preparing materials, carrying out activities, and summarising everything, including preparing their Youthpass at the end. The work schedule will be up to 35 hours per week. Don’t worry—there will also be time to connect with each other, explore the city, learn about its history and present, and enjoy quality time with the team. Activities will take place in our social gardens. This project is also open to individuals facing fewer opportunities, such as health challenges, economic difficulties, unemployment, or educational barriers.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Young people aged between 18-30 years old coming from one of these countries (Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Romania, Hungary, Cyprus, Ukraine, Italy, Malta, Canary Islands, Liechtenstein, Georgia, Denmark, Netherlands, Greece)
- Participants should be interested in working with children and adults.
- Open-minded and creative young people who would like to share their knowledge, experience and time with others.
- Having a communicative level of English would be helpful, as it will be necessary to interact effectively with each other and the participants in the activities.
- Committed to participate in the whole project from planning till the final evaluation.
- Eager to get to know about new culture and having multiple learning experiences.
Expenses and Benefits
- Volunteers will be accommodated in different flats around krakow which have been rented by the host organisation for its long term volunteers.
- Flats have mostly double rooms , common kitchen and bathroom. The flats will be equipped with all the necessary equipments for living.
- Volunteers will get pocket money and food allowance for 23 days of the activity, preparing the food will be your own responsibility.
- Host organisation will provide tickets for the public transport.
- The real cost of travel will be reimbursed with a maximum of the amount that is shown in the European Distance Calculator from your living place to Krakow, Poland according to these limits:
- from 10 - 99 km: 28,00€ (Standard travel) / 56,00€ (Green travel)
- from 100 - 499 km: 211,00€ (Standard travel) / 285,00€ (Green travel)
- from 500 - 1999 km: 309,00€ (Standard travel) / 417€ (Green travel)
- from 2000 - 2999 km: 396,00€ (Standard travel) / 535€ (Green travel)
