An exciting opportunity for 15 volunteers from ESC Programme countries to join the ESC Volunteering Teams project "30 Years Together" which will take place in Jönköping, Sweden for almost 18 days. The project aims to celebrate 30 years of Sweden’s membership in the European Union. The project is organised by The Youth Department of Jönköping Municipality and funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union.
About the Volunteering
The Youth Department of Jönköping Municipality has been organising "Europe Week" since May 2022, with support from ESC volunteers. Each year, the event has focused on themes like solidarity, intercultural exchange, and voter engagement for the European Parliament elections. In 2025, the fourth edition, titled “30 YEARS TOGETHER,” will celebrate Sweden’s 30th anniversary as an EU member.
Fifteen European youth volunteers will join local and ESC volunteers to organise activities that promote EU cooperation, solidarity, democracy, and active citizenship. Participants will gain experience in event management, marketing, social media, and intercultural communication.
The event will take place in Jönköping, mainly in youth centres and partner locations, featuring activities such as intercultural nights, workshops, school presentations, and music events. Volunteers will also promote the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programs.
Volunteering is a full-time unpaid activity. It means that the volunteers are expected to contribute with their effort and time for at least 30, and not more than 38 hours per week.
