ELA Summer School for Female Leadership in the Digital Age 2025 in Finland (Fully Funded)

An excellent opportunity for female students and young professionals with an interest in Technology to apply for the 2025 European Leadership Academy Summer School for Female Leadership in the Digital Age which will take place in Helsinki, Finland from 12th to the 18th of July 2025. This summer school is designed and funded by HUAWEI’s EU Office as its goal to support European talent and foster innovation throughout the Union.



About the Summer School 

The Summer School for Female Leadership in Digital age is a one-week leadership programme. As part of Huawei's boarder initiative Seeds for the future. The summer school is open for female university students and young professionals, no matter your educational background. Whether you love law, business, International relations, or tech there has never been a better time to be you than right now. Embarking on a unique opportunity and learning experience at the European Leadership Academy private “campus”. Being inspired by top-level speakers from across Europe. Soaking up the country’s culture, and in the evenings, enjoying exclusive networking events and spending quality time with fellow future leaders.

The Summer School for Female Leadership in the Digital Age 2025 programme includes:

LEADERSHIP: Explore the meaning and Value of Sustainable leadership with world-class leaders from different business sectors.

MENTORSHIP: Learn from internationally renowned coaches who will inspire you to become the kind of leader the world needs.

PUBLIC SPEAKING: Practice Confidence-boosting techniques that will help you stay focused, clear, and calm when giving a presentation- an invaluable life skill.

LEARN TO CODE: Get first-hand experience of what makes our digital world work, guided by one of the world's most renowned coding schools. 

TEAM WORK: Collaborate with other future leaders on a group project. The winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded at the Farewell Gala.  

WELLBEING: Learn Basic breathing and meditation practices that will be increase your focus and creativity, and decrease stress and anxiety.


Eligibility| Who can apply?

- Female students and young professionals over 18 yeas old, no matter your educational background;

- Applicants must be a citizens of the 27 EU Member States, Ukraine, the Western Balkans Six (North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo), Moldova, Switzerland, Iceland, Türkiye or Norway. 

For those who have finished their bachelor’s and at the moment they are not formally enrolled in a university programme because you have an internship or are taking a break, you can still apply.

- Applicants should have a very good command of English since it is the main language in all the activities.


Expenses and Benefits

If you are selected that means you are the most suitable candidate from your country to participate in the Summer School Programme and you will receive a full scholarship that will cover everything needed to participate in the summer school including:

- Roundtrip to travel and come back from Finland.

- Accommodation, meals, local transportation in Finland during the entire course of the programme.

- Conference Materials and any other important elements. 


Timeline

Application deadline: 12th March 2025, 23.59h CET.

Selection result: by late May 2025, Applicants will receive an email to know whether or not you have been selected. 

Programme start: 12th of July 2025

Programme end: 18th of July 2025
