About the Volunteering
It Takes a Village is a three-year Humanitarian Aid volunteering program designed for teams working alongside rural communities to empower vulnerable groups and foster solidarity. Volunteers collaborate with local residents in several areas in Tanzania to address key issues such as water, education, housing, environment, youth, and women's empowerment, aiming to improve village infrastructure and promote sustainable daily living. The first year of the program begins this July 2025 in Tanzania, where a team of 12 volunteers will spend 45 days actively supporting the rural community. The main focus is rooted in collaboration, not intervention. Rather than imposing solutions, Volunteers and organizers work with the community to empower local initiatives and strengthen resilience. This experience is a journey from "me" to "we", fostering solidarity and deep community engagement.
