An exciting opportunity for undergraduate students from all Turkish universities and international universities who would like to pursue guided research projects to attend the Sabanci University PURE Summer Program 2025. The PURE Summer program lasts for around 8 weeks from 7th of July to 28th of August 2025 at Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkiye. The PURE Summer Program is organised and funded by Turkiye Scholarships and Sabanci University.
About the PURE Summer Program
Sabanci University Program for Undergraduate Research (PURE) is designed for undergraduate students from all Turkish universities and international universities who would like to pursue guided research projects. Undergraduate students at all levels can apply and they will be selected according to projects’ requirements and the background of the applicant. The main goal of the program is to introduce undergraduate students to real research problems early in their studies.

Eligibility | Who can apply?
- PURE program is open only to undergraduate students from Turkish universities and international universities all over the World. Graduate students are not eligible to apply.
- Students from all undergraduate levels and departments can apply.
- Students are expected to have good academic standing and good grades to be eligible.
- Students are expected to have good English, since it is the program language. The expected level of language and academic success may change according to the demands of the project and the faculty member/researcher.
- Students can apply up to 6 research projects, which are announced by Sabanci University faculty members and researchers. However, students can be part of only one project
- Students are expected to attend at least 3 seminars during the summer term.
- Students are expected to prepare a final report and a poster.
Expenses and Benefits
- There is no tuition fee for joining the PURE Summer Program with this scholarship.
- Monthly stipend of 9000 Turkish Lira for 30 students from selected students.
- Registration for the program and accommodation are free of charge for the students admitted to the program. Free accommodation is provided only for summer terms in shared dorm rooms in campus.
- Participants are responsible for covering the personal expenses, local transportation costs, and meal costs during the program.
- Students can use the facilities within the campus, such as the Information Center, Cafeteria and Sports Facilities.
- Students who will participate in the program are expected to have travel and health insurance. SGK is valid for Turkish citizens.
- The PURE program covers the costs of round-trip flight tickets for 30 students from selected students.
- The PURE program offers cultural and social activities in Istanbul.
