About the Volunteering project

During the “Coloring the Future II” project, volunteers will take part in a variety of creative, educational, and community-based activities designed to revitalize new life into Cortes de la Frontera. Through urban art and poetry, participants will express themselves while making a meaningful impact on the local community. The main activities include:

  • Designing and painting murals in public spaces, turning the town into a colorful, open-air art gallery.
  • Writing and performing poetry inspired by the village’s identity, history, and social themes.
  • Participating in creative workshops focused on urban art techniques, storytelling, and team-based design.
  • Collaborating with other European volunteers to share cultures, ideas, and creative perspectives.
  • Engaging with local residents to include their stories and experiences in the artwork.
  • Brainstorming and planning sessions to co-create mural themes and project goals.
  • Organizing cultural evenings to promote intercultural learning and community connection.

These activities are designed not only to enhance participants’ artistic and teamwork skills, but also to help the village fight depopulation by boosting cultural tourism and civic pride.
